Pink tequila is the new rosé all day

Our Rosa Blanco takes center stage on this week's #TequilaTuesday! Grab yours and read on!

Happy Tequila Tuesday! You can make this one extra special because you can try out Calirosa's Rosa Blanco. That’s right. It is pink tequila! Rosé was all day--and all night--and flooded your Instagram feed (and even your mom’s Instagram feed) and we are ready for a change. Not like an Aperol spritz change, but a real change. It is time for a new drink that is just as gorgeous (and grammable) if not more so and one that will make us feel good. So let your friends stick with their basic rosé by the pool, while you drink delicious tequila (you can also be the pool. It goes with everything).

Why pink tequila?

Pink is having a moment this year and we aren’t talking about the sweet Millennial pink of days past. We are talking bright, bold pink because in 2021 we are finally going out and enjoying life again. We are dressing for joy and our choice of drink should reflect that. Plus, isn’t everyone a bit more intrigued by the person drinking tequila?

Did you know the color pink represents compassion, nurturing, and love? While it is a classic romantic color it also has a lot of energy. Plus in psychology pink represents hope which we could all use a lot of these days.

How is pink tequila made?

Let’s face it. We live in a visual world so the colors of our food and drinks matter more than they ever did before. But how did they get that Rosa Blanco to have that beautiful color? It is finished for 30 days in California red wine barrels which gives the liquid that distinctive, soft pink hue that you will love and a floral-forward flavor profile with hints of cherry and orange peel. While your friends are comparing their wines with buttery and floral notes you can have a little tequila party.

Tequila is having a moment

The past year has been a big one for tequila. Though the spirit has been popular for decades it reached new levels in sales as it became the fastest-growing spirit category during the height of the quarantine in the U.S. in 2020 (you’re never alone with tequila!) In fact, the global tequila market is expected to reach $6.36 billion by the end of 2025.

And now Calirosa is part of that plan with their 15-state launch in the U.S. and then Mexico later in the year. Produced by the Real family at their distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco where they have been producing tequila since 1942. This tequila is rich in heritage and history as Don Roberto and Don Fernando Real have dedicated their entire lives to the production and commercialization of this spirit. Plus, third-generation Tequila maker Luis Trejo Rodriguez serves as master distiller.

So for Tequila Tuesday (which you can pretend is every day of the week) order some Rosa Blanco and their other new bottle Añejo, which has a beautiful rose gold-tone, and surprise everyone with your superior choice.
